To Foster And Promote Hockey In The Tuggeranong ValleyMen
Celebrating 30 years of Hockey in the Tuggeranong Valley.
Formed in 1976 the Club’s Vision is to become and remain the dominant hockey club in the region. The Club also supports Active Australia’s ethos on participation in sport at all levels, and over our short history we have taken out several premierships in various grades – along with a few well-earned wooden spoons. Currently the Club has teams in ALL competitions – 10 Teams in all – ranging from 1st Grade through to the Grass competitions. As a result we have teams for the social player and the elite player.
Players of all standards are welcome, with Club training for all Teams held Tuesday evenings as follows at the Tuggeranong Hockey Park, Soward Way.
The Club also has Teams in the various Summer competitions, including Indoor, and sends Teams to various carnivals including the Australian Masters Games. The Club has a strong belief in providing opportunities for anyone wanting to play hockey, including players new to the Club, as well as Juniors coming through the ranks. The men’s Club also supplies coaches, umpires and financial support for the Junior Boys and Minkey Clubs, in recognition of their role in realising the Club’s Vision to become and remain the dominant hockey club in the region.
New players always welcomed, and we even let you try before you buy.

The Tuggeranong Vikings Women’s Hockey Club (TVWHC) was formed in 1987 and caters for both serious and social players. The aim of the TVWHC is to promote a safe, friendly and enjoyable experience for young & adolescent girls through to senior women in the sport of Hockey in the Tuggeranong Valley. Our objective is to encourage these girls and women to play the sport of hockey and to provide the best possible opportunity for them to develop their skills, regardless of ability, in the sport and to be proud to be a part of our community.Currently, we have 10 teams within the junior competition ranging from U11′s through to U18′s and 5 teams in the senior competition competing from 1st grade through to 4th Grade and 6th Grade. TVWHC was also the proud winner of the Junior Club of the Year in 2009 – an award we have won many times.
As well as having an exceptionally strong group of junior players we are very proud to be able to say that we have players ranging from 7 through to over 70 years young. We also have a Junior Development Program aimed at helping Juniors and promoting their transition into Senior Hockey.
We welcome all players at all levels to come along and play hockey. As well as being very competitive during the winter season, we also provide the opportunity for players to participate in the indoor or twilight summer competition. We are a friendly club who strongly encourages friends and family participation.

Minkey (Modified Rules)
Minkey is modified Hockey that is designed for the 4 to 9 year olds, split into two age groups Under 7 and Under 9. It is designed to teach kids the basic skills of Hockey in a fun and safe environment. They play on a 1/4 size field and teams are limited to 6 a side. The season starts Sat 6th May 2006 and runs for school terms 2 & 3. There is no weekday training for Minkey and all games are at the Chisholm Playing Fields, at the same time each Saturday. Where possible all children from the same school are grouped together, so they have school friends in their team. Each Saturday the teams train for 30 minutes, and then have a 30-minute game against another Minkey team. Typically we have 10 teams in each age group so there is plenty of room for all to have fun.
