Since our beginning, Vikings Group has provided assistance of more than $40 million dollars to our community.

 

Established in 1979 Vikings Group is entrenched and committed to growing and supporting the community that supports us. Since our inception, Vikings Group has provided $40 million back into the community and supports over 50 affiliated sporting clubs.

The Vikings Group constitution clearly articulates our purpose, which is to foster and encourage sport in the valley, provide sporting, recreation and hospitality facilities to our Members and the community, promote social interaction and build a sense of community. These objects guide us in our everyday activities. The support Vikings Group provides to the community aims to serve these objects.

Community Assistance Application

 

Vikings Group Community Assistance Objective

To provide financial and general assistance to eligible individuals or community groups, clubs and organisations to enable participation in activities, alleviate financial barriers and support an active and connected community.

Vikings Group Community Assistance Outcomes

  1. Improve life in the Tuggeranong Valley and build community connectedness. 

  2. Foster and encourage grassroots sport, Masters participation, high-performance sport and pathway programs.

  3. Promote and increase active lifestyles in the Tuggeranong Valley for social sporting and health-promoting activities.

  4. Enhance health and wellbeing and enable access to inclusive activities for Tuggeranong Valley residents.

  5. Alleviate the financial barriers through cash and in-kind support to individuals, groups, clubs and community organisations in the Tuggeranong Valley.

  6. Promote community innovation in Tuggeranong Valley.
