FACT BMX

FACT BMX (Freestyle ACT)

FACT BMX is a club in Canberra that promotes, supports & encourages the growth of Freestyle BMX in A.C.T. & regions. Freestyle BMX is growing in popularity around the world from skate park beginners to world class tour events in the USA. Australia has great talent in all forms of bike riding so it makes sense to foster development of skills in youngsters providing them with pathways to other cycling disciplines while they have fun.

Besides skate parks, freestyle BMX requires well designed dirt jumps catering for beginners to pro level riders. Dirt jumps built in forested areas get knocked down by Governments because they have been built without permission. The aim of the club is to engage with the ACT Government to develop facilities which can be accredited to allow this sport to develop further. The club is working with Stromlo Forest Park to develop facilities which include dirt jumps and other jumps/pump tracks in co-operation with other interested users of the park.
FACT has a number of accredited coaches who are accredited under the National Coaching Accreditation System. FACT is working closely with Freestyle BMX to deliver programs in accordance with National Peak body BMX Australia and the Australian Sports Commission junior sports policies.
