23 March 2020 feels like a lifetime ago. Our world has changed, our Nation has changed and while the residents of Canberra have worked hard to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, Canberra has changed.
Like so many businesses during this time, we were faced with problems that we had never anticipated and honestly some days we were just not sure how to solve them.
We are proud of the journey we have taken as a business, with our overarching objectives during this time being a sustainable return to business and the well-being of our staff, we let these guide us throughout some of the hardest decisions we have had to take.
We are not out of the woods yet, we have a long way to go, as the world continues to navigate the ongoing impacts of COVID-19.
Following the Chief Ministers announcement this morning, I am happy (relieved, ecstatic, overjoyed – the list could go on), to announce from this Monday (10 August) all four Vikings Clubs will be fully operational once more, in line with current restrictions, and providing there is no downgrade in restrictions prior to Monday.
We continue to approach the re-launch of our business with a sharp focus on sustainability to ensure Vikings Group can continue to be a major contributor to the community of the Tuggeranong Valley well into the future, for this reason, our trading hours may vary across our clubs as well as our food offerings until we find our feet again - however, I can assure you normal trade will resume as soon as logistically possible. I ask that you be patient with our staff during this time.
We continue to take our role seriously in assuring the safety, we have made changes in our Clubs to support our COVIDSafe measures, to keep up to date on these changes as well as our trading hours click here, we are taking these actions to ensure our Members and their guests can enjoy a safe experience at our Clubs.
Our Board of Directors, Management and Staff all thank you, the Vikings spirit has shone bright over the recent months and we appreciate your patience and ongoing support.
