Vance Pearce Returns to Lanyon Vikings
Vikings Group prides itself on retaining some fantastic staff across our venues. One, in particular, is Vance Pearce – for those who don’t know him, we’d like to take the opportunity to introduce you.
A stalwart of the Vikings Group and a person with an infectious personality, Vance Pearce is hard to miss. His booming yet gentle voice can often be heard around the corridors of Vikings.
Like the pied piper, he attracts followers from both the Vikings membership and our staff.
Vance has returned to the role of Venue Manager at Lanyon Vikings and it is something both he and the Vikings Group are excited about.
Moving back to his old stomping ground Vance is keen to create a strong sense of community at Lanyon. “I love it here, I love the members, coming back to Lanyon is like coming home and I feel like I belong here. I want the members to feel that too.”
Vance has worked for the Vikings Group for over 23 years, having started in the organisation at Town Centre and working across all four venues during this time, Lanyon has a special place in Vance’s heart. “Some of the same people are here, some have moved on. It’s also nice to see new faces and hear what they’d like Lanyon to be.”
Vance has spent the last few years at Town Centre Vikings and will use a lot of the experience he gained there to review a few things at Lanyon.
“I loved Town Centre and will be calling over there regularly to say Hello, but I’m excited to be given the opportunity to engage with the local community out here. I have got some great ideas and can’t wait to implement them. I think it’s also time we brought back the raffles too!”
Vance has a great ability to engage with his members and their guests as well as the staff and his customer service levels are second to none. Vance is keen to hear from all patrons about what they would like to see at Lanyon Vikings.
“I hope members will get in touch, come up and say hello or send me an email. Lanyon Vikings is great, and I want everyone to see it the way I do.”
