Vikings Affiliate Club 2025 Scholarship Recipient: Kayla Opie

Meet Kayla Opie, an extraordinary gymnast whose achievements showcase her dedication and talent.

Competing at National Level 9, she has earned podium finishes on some of the sport’s biggest stages. At the Australian Gymnastics Championships, she placed 2nd on Beam, 4th on Vault and Floor, and 3rd Overall.

Internationally, she made her mark at the Singapore Open, contributing to her team’s championship win and securing 3rd place individually on Vault. Closer to home, she dominated the ACT State Championships, claiming 1st place overall along with multiple top-three finishes across other apparatus.

Kayla’s commitment to excellence continues to inspire those around her. This scholarship is truly well-deserved, a big congratulations Kayla.
