2024 ACT Training and Education Awards

We are humbled to have received the 2024 ACT Training and Education Award on Thursday 5 September

This recognition reflects the amazing collaboration between our Executive Chef, Ben Cridland, Peter Teo from the ACT Education Directorate, and Peter Hayes from Access Recognised Training. Together, they have made a meaningful impact with the "Head Start" program, demonstrating the power of partnership in shaping the future of education and the workforce.

So what exactly is Head Start, you ask?

Head Start is an Australian School-based Apprenticeship (ASbA) initiative, empowering ACT public school students to kickstart their careers while completing their Senior Secondary Certificate. Connecting students’ passions with the needs of local businesses, offering personalised support and mentorship, and equipping students with hands-on experience, industry knowledge, and a competitive edge so they can step confidently into their future careers.
