The Vikings Group was established nearly 50 years ago to promote Rugby Union in Tuggeranong.  

In partnership with the ACT Brumbies, we are proud to announce we are major sponsors of the ACT Brumbies Super W team. 

With a proud, strong and successful Rugby Union club entrenched into the social fabric of Tuggeranong celebrating it’s 50th years, creating a partnership focussed on an elite pathway for female players was our next step to reinforcing our commitment to the sport.

The ViQueens, Tuggeranong’s own First Grade Rugby Union team in the John I Dent Cup, are current premiers with 4 players currently representing the big red head at Brumbies level. With the talents of Zali Waihape, Tabua Tuinakauvadra, Gisela Vea and Gabby Petersen, Vikings feels the Brumbies W are destined for a strong season. 

“It’s important that Vikings Rugby continues to be a strong stepping stone in the elite pathway for Rugby Union – with Brumbies W we are able to ensure that women and girls across the ACT can play Rugby from Under 5 through to one of the worlds most elite competitions” said Anthony Hill, CEO, Vikings Group.

“Vikings are huge advocates for a range of sports in the Tuggeranong Valley, with over 52 affiliated sports and over 7,500 athletes supported in some way or form by the Vikings Group.  We are lucky to have this unique opportunity to follow through from grass roots to elite level.  Every member of the Wallaroos played Club Rugby, Vikings hopes that this partnership encourages more kids from Tuggeranong to aspire to be a Wallaby or a Wallaroo when they grow up” said Mr Hill.
