Climate Choices Business Awards 2022

ACT Government have announced their Climate Choices Business Award Winners for 2022. The awards recognise businesses and events across the Canberra region who are committed to creating a more sustainable future and taking action on climate change.

Vikings Group are thrilled to be the winner of the Innovation of Excellence Award for the implementation of our recycled and recyclable uniforms that you may have already spotted our staff wearing at Chisholm Vikings and Lanyon Vikings. 

The manufacturers of the fabric we use have to date, recycled 34.5 billion water bottles - most of which were destined for the ocean. 

Old uniforms were also recycled preventing 135kg of textiles from being sent to landfill. This has resulted in the prevention of approximately 473kg of greenhouse gasses from polluting our atmosphere.
