New Chisholm Venue Manager | Jess Barraclough

Vikings Group have recently had the opportunity to advance the careers of some of our key staff members. As a result, there have been some changes within our venues, and one of those changes will see a familiar face return to Chisholm Vikings in the role of Venue Manager - Jess 👏🏼

Jess started her career with Vikings as a casual customer service attendant in 2012. “I had a negative experience working in retail and decided it was time to work for an employer that recognised there were priorities outside of the workplace. I couldn’t believe my luck when I found Vikings”.

Jess has moved through the ranks at Vikings and has filled all roles, bringing a wealth of corporate knowledge to her new position. Her most recent role was that of 2nd in Charge at Erindale Vikings. “I spent three years at Lanyon Vikings before I spent three years at Chisholm and I have been at Erindale Vikings for the last couple of years. I have learned a lot in this time and am always looking for the opportunity to continue to develop professionally. I feel that taking on the role of Venue Manager at Chisholm Vikings will be a great opportunity for me and it’s a great way to start a new year.”

Jess is particularly interested in continuing the safe gambling practices that have been implemented across the Vikings Group over the years. “I have worked with patrons who were experiencing Gambling Harm and I have friends who have been negatively impacted by gambling. Knowing that Vikings provide a safe gambling space for our patrons is something I am proud of and am keen to continue to work on with the staff and patrons at Chisholm Vikings.“
