New Lanyon Venue Manager | Lane Neeson

The Vikings Group have recently had the opportunity to advance the careers of some of our key staff members. As a result, there have been some changes within our venues, we are excited to lock in a crowd favourite, Lane, as Venue Manager at Lanyon Vikings.

We featured Lane and his career achievements last year during lockdown, talking about the highlights in his 15 years with the Vikings Group. “I still believe today what I said then, Vikings is one of the longest relationships I’ve had. Everyone here is family to me.”

Like many of us in 2022, Lane is looking forward and is excited about how he can make his mark on Lanyon Vikings. “This place is so important to the Community. I want to build on that connection – I want to work with organisations like Rotary to bring us farmers or homemade markets once a month. I want to let the Community know that we are here for them and because of them.

I also want to make Lanyon Vikings the venue of choice for everyone's night out. I love what we do here and I feel that now folks are not just vaccinated, but also boosted and they know that our venues are safe, I want to see them enjoying everything we have here to offer at Lanyon and make sure they know we are putting our best foot forward.

On a personal note, I want to work on my professional development. There’s still a lot I have to learn, particularly on the catering side so I am looking forward to that.

One thing I do know about our catering though – if you haven’t tried the Three Little Pigs Schnitzel out here at Lanyon Vikings, have you even been to Lanyon Vikings. Though maybe save it for cheat day.”

Lane, we are proud of your enthusiasm, drive and your want to increase the connection the Vikings Group has with our local Community. We look forward to seeing Lanyon Vikings recement its place in the social fabric of the Valley. We will also come looking for you and the Three Little Pigs Schnitzel on cheat day…

Community, LanyonVG
